Amazon Video Widget

Amazon is now letting affiliates use video to promote products.

Another example of how video is being used to market products.

Amazon ~ Affiliate Marketing with Video

It looks like Amazon has decided to get into the affiliate marketing video game.

I have to give a shout out to Perry Lawrence of AskMrVideo for this one — he is the one who let me know about Amazons new "Affiliate Video" widget.

Instead of creating a new video — I just uploaded a video I use in most of my testing, "Social Power Linking" overview.

After you upload the video… you are required to add at least one product that Amazon has on it’s site. Keep in mind — you need to be an affiliate for Amazon to use the service.

You can add more than one product, but you have to add at least one.

I am pleasantly surprised at the quality. I really did not expect the video to be as clean and crisp as it is.

This is yet another testament that marketing with video is something every marketer needs to do.

Here is the video I did at Amazon:

E Mail Marketing and Building Relationships

Small Business E-Mail Marketing - Leveraging What You Already Have

I read quite a bit. Usually you can find me wandering up and down the aisles of Barnes and Noble at least twice a week.

Without fail, when paying for my Magazine - the check out person has asked me this same question - not once - not twice, but every single time that I can remember for the last three or four years;

"Do you have a Barnes and Noble Membership Card?"

"Yep... got it right here. Let me get it out my Wallet". I find my card, hand it over so I will receive my discount.

It's not like I save a lot of money having a Barnes and Noble membership card. In fact, it is usually in the range of fifty to ninety cents every time I buy something - pennies by anyones standards.

I received Joe's "Yard Magic" newsletter yesterday - finally.

Social Power Linking

Social Bookmarking and Power Linking

Just in case you missed it... the Web has changed.

I think a little history of the Internet is in order to grasp the big picture. I'm not going to give
any dates (late eighties and early 90's)... I'll just give a quick run down.

I would say nearly fifteen years ago I had a dial up Internet connection that allowed me to log into
various College computers, BBS's (bulletin boards) and Newsgroups.

The Internet was much different than the Web is today. There were no graphics... it was totally text based
and everything was dial up. All you could do was basically post to a newsgroup, post messages on some BBS's
and send email. Internet Marketing as we know it today did not exist.

Jump to present day...

The Web 2.0 Marketer will survive this "coup d' etat".

Search engine optimization is very crucial to Internet marketing. That is because through an SEO Mindset, Websites and contents are optimized so that link popularity is established.

Websites and online businesses should strive to get higher search engine rankings so that more

online users and prospective clients would come their way.

There are many search engines that proliferate and dominate the Internet search market nowadays. On top of the list is Google, which accounts for more than half of overall Internet usage for search engines currently.

Other search engines are Yahoo, MSN and Altavista. If you are researching for a certain subject or topic of interest, you certainly would need to use search engines.

Type the keywords pertinent to your inquiry and wait for a few seconds before a complete listing of Websites and links are displayed on the screen.

How to use Joomla

How to Set Up and Use Joomla
A decade ago, having a webpage was cool. Today, not having a webpage is almost primitive.

Through a blog or a wiki or a webpage, everyone these days is present on the web, one way or the other. There are websites on gossip, websites on politics and websites on sports and so on. Why, there are websites on websites as well!

Does that mean everyone who wants to be on the web has to be a geek? No. All you need is a Content Management System.

Wait, did I mention CMS?

Well, not any CMS would do. What you need is Joomla!. It's a revolutionary open-source system that is just as cool to work with as it sounds. If you have a webpage that needs some working on all the time, Joomla! is your best friend.

How it all began...

Joomla! follows a three-tier pattern in releasing its versions. It releases its versions in three categories - Major, Minor and Maintenance, each of which consist of three numbers.

The 3 Things All Affiliate Marketers Need To Survive Online
The 3 Things All Affiliate Marketers Need To Survive Online Now every affiliate marketer is always looking for the successful market that gives the biggest paycheck
Sometimes they think it is a magic formula that is readily available for them.

What are these three tactics?

1. Using unique web pages to promote each separate product you are marketing. Do not lump all of it together just to save some money on web hosting. It is best to have a site focusing on each and every product and nothing more.

Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do to those who buys them. Also include testimonials from users who have already tried the product.

Always remember that only 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or get your services.

Besides, think of the huge paychecks you will be receiving!

Web 2.0 FAQ

Web 2.0 frequently asked questions

Q. What is the Semantic Web?

A. Semantic technologies often promote Web 2.0 sites. The Semantic Web enables users to create files explaining relationships between data sets. This technology allows for greater data integration and helps users classify and categorize information. Many also use the term “digital library” to identify these types of sites and this technology. It is the platform from which social bookmarking and other taxonomy type or categorical sites are created from.

Q. What is tagging?

A. Tagging is a way users can classify or organize and categorize data, and is common on many sites including social bookmarking sites and folksonomies. How it works is users attach tags to data items like web pages, their blog entries or even photographs they want classified and categorized.

Niche List Profits - Affiliate Marketing Introduction
Being in the affiliate marketing business is not that hard now with the Internet at your disposable.
It is much easier now compared to the days when people have to make use of the telephones and other mediums of information just to get the latest updates on the way their program is coming along.

So with technology at hand, and assuming that the affiliate is working from home, a day in his or her life would sound something like this...

Upon waking up and after having breakfast, the computer is turned on to check out new developments in the network. As far as the marketer is concerned there might be new things to update and statistics to keep track on.

The site design has to be revised. The marketer knows that a well-designed site can increase sign ups from visitors. It can also help in the affiliate's conversion rates.

Web 2.0 Guide ~ Introduction
The wave of the future is here... and it is Web 2.0.
If you haven't heard already, out with the old and in with the new.

Well, sort of...

In "times of old" people relied on the Internet as a one-way tool for communicating with others. Most business entrepreneurs will set up a website, then offer their opinions, advice and more to anyone willing to listen, pay attention or chime in.

That has all changed. Now people are relying on a relatively old concept to change the way they do business on the Web. Instead of using the Internet as a one-way tool for communicating, people are now realizing the Web's potential for creating an interactive, dynamic environment.

In this environment, individuals, consumers and businesses can collaborate and communicate in new and simpler ways.

Web 2.0 is a broad term describing many different kinds of websites, websites that provide a platform where end-users have control over the content of sites.

Do not waste times on skeptics or none motivate people? The important role in order to success on affiliate program, you should give much learning and motivation to your leads.

People build list in order to become their teamwork through many ways, like buying leads, writing articles that relate to affiliate program, building double opt in and others breakthrough.

You do not want to get a bad name for yourself after working so hard for so long now.

If you cannot get your point across easily and effectively then you will not be very good as a leader. We recommend always working on this leadership skill no matter what.

It is simply impossible. Be willing to admit that you still have room to grow and your team will be more likely to work with you. One of the hardest parts about being a leader is admitting that you are not perfect and that you have room to improve as well.

Marketing Productivity or just busy

Activity Does Not Pay the Mortgage

noise.pngI could have named this post "Being busy does not pay the Bills"… "Don’t confuse activity with productivity" or anything along those lines.

Bottom line — be productive, not active.

But it’s not easy.

t’s 6:20AM Tuesday morning - like I do every morning I walk upstairs to my home office — boot up my computer — check my email and begin my day (first mistake).

It is now 10:22AM — I’ve finished replying to customer emails… finished replying to inquiries on the services I offer… answered some personal emails… and visited the forums where I received a follow up post email — four hours.

Time to get to work. First, I need to check my voice mail.

Good… I only have four messages. Let me return these calls real quick before I "start" my day.

Shoot… it’s 11:18AM — think I’ll grab something to eat.

Okay… time to get busy — but I need to check my web sites and blogs real quick to make sure they are still up and running. Good… they are still there.

Hypnotic Marketing and Copywriting

This is a great article on copywriting and story telling.
clipped from www.andrewdaum.com

On a sunny, warm day in August, 1996 I kneeled over the grave of P.T. Barnum and had one of the most remarkable experiences of my life.

I had begun researching the famous showman in order to write my forthcoming new book, “There’s a Customer Born Every Minute”.

I had visited the Barnum Museum, the Historical Library in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and met with Barnum scholars, biographers, and collectors of his writings.

I wanted to visit Barnum’s grave and pay my respects. Little did I know that the incredible, magical experience would change my life forever…

Recently I went online to hunt for old books by some of my favorite authors, this time I went after anything by Robert Collier — mail order advertising genius and author of such classic books as The Secret of the Ages and The Robert Collier Letter Book.

Internet Marketing and Poppin’ the Rag

We were driving down the highway, the music faded out and the Announcer started spewing out something about Getting Rich on the Internet.

“What did you say Dad?”

“I said that guy is just “Poppin’ the Rag” he replied.

“Poppin’ the Rag”… what the heck is that?

“I never told you about my New Orleans trip?” he asked.

“Nope” - what happened?

“A couple years back — I went on a business trip to New Orleans. While I was walkin’ down Bourbon Street early one morning, I heard this “Pop!Crack!Pow!

I listened again - heard where all the racket was coming from and headed in that direction.

It was a young shoeshine boy doing a number on a man’s shoes.

The shoeshine boy was really puttin on a show. He was nothing but a blur of sparks and elbows.

Is Google Bankrupt…

Well, it was bound to happen.

You did not really think this could go on forever, right?

Some of the largest companies on the planet have either gone bust, or they were purchased simply for the assets they still owned and split up.

But this is not the case with Google. Surely you did not think Google was one of those companies (or were you just hoping so). In fact, from everything I have read it is just a matter of time until they become “Masters of the Universe“.

Years back, I thought it would be Microsoft that became the Master of the Universe - but it appears it will in fact be Google.

So no, Google is not bankrupt - but they have caused a few bankruptcies on their quest for domination of the universe.

With the stronghold they have on the Internet, it would not surprise me if in a few short years that we will be saying jump on “The Google” and see what you can find - instead of saying “The Internet or Web”.

Small Business Marketing: How To Do It Yourself

This is a reprint from our do it yourself page.

Some business owners either can’t afford a Hired Gun, or they just simply want to give it a shot and do everything themselves.

I can understand why those with more time than money would opt to give it a shot… just to see if they can figure it all out and do it on their own.

To keep you from having to figure it all out on your own, and wasting a lot of time experimenting with what does and doesn’t work, I’ll cover some of the Basics you need to know.

I call them Basics — but for any apprentice Gunslinger, these are required fundamentals you must learn and master.

Before we dive off into the Basics, let me give you some “Quick Tips” you can implement today.

Quick Tip #1: Leveraging What You Already Have

I read quite a bit. Usually you can find me wandering up and down the aisles of Barnes and Noble at least twice a week.

Teaching Sells ~ sell what you know

teaching sells
Teaching people a skill or how to do something has always been a great business model.
Problem is, most people do not know how to teach - they may know the subject matter - but they lack the communication and organizational skills needed.
Case in point — I joined a membership site this past November. I wanted to learn how to do what this person was teaching using his step-by-step plan.
He obviously knew the subject matter very well. He gave proof of the earnings he made using his methods and strategies — I was game to give it a go.
So I signed up — logged in — took a look around and immediately realized I had made a mistake.
This guy — while maybe having the skills to do what he said, had zero skills when it came to communicating how he does it.
As I continued to look around - I also noticed there was not a flow to any of the information - there was not any structure to it.
But overall, the information was pretty good — but that did not matter.
